47th Essen Conference on Water and Waste Management

Meeting for Professionals from Water, Waste Water, and Waste Fields

The 47th Essen Conference on Water and Waste Management will take place from March 19 to 21, 2014, at Messe Essen Ost under the title Is Our Water Management Sustainable? The event organizers, RWTH Chair of Environmental Engineering, the Research Institute for Water and Waste Management at RWTH Aachen, the Institute for the Promotion of Water Quality and Water Resources Management, and the State Office for Nature, Environment, and Consumer Protection NRW along with the NRW Ministery for Climate Protection, Environment, Agriculture, Nature Conservation and Consumer Protection expect over 900 participants.

Water management's structures and responsibilities in Germany are clear and effective. Technical facilities are in good condition. However the challenges are recognizable, that could danger this status and create a need for action.

70 presentations will give a current overview of all relevant fields. Additionally, companies will present their products and services. Two technical excursions on Friday, March 21, 2014, will provide participants with a glance at actual practice.
