Dr.-Ing. Jan Polívka has been Junior Professor for Sustainable Housing Development at RWTH’s Faculty of Architecture since February 2018. He is researching sustainable forms of production, conversion, and use of housing under the conditions of social change and growing or shrinking cities and communities. To this end, he is developing evaluation methods for planning control in municipal and private housing markets as well as integrated strategies and instruments for the production and adaptation of existing housing stock.
