Palace Research in Aachen

The upcoming "Uni at City Hall“ event is concerned with "Palace Research in Aachen.” The event is moderated by WDR journalist Bettina Staubitz; panelists include Professor Harald Müller, Chair of Medieval History, Dr. Judith Ley from the Department of the History of Architecture and Cultural Heritage Preservation, and City Archaeologist Andreas Schaub.

 

Fitting to the Year of Charlemagne, Uni at City Hall is addressing a large-scale research project on the Aachen Palace of Charlemagne, which was one of the most important centers of power in the Middle Ages. Today, it is one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites.

In a panel discussion, members of the research team will talk about the project, present research results, outline the future activities in the project, and answer questions by the audience.

Admission to the event is free of charge. Registration is not required.
