Contact
In operations research mathematical models and methods lead to support in decision making. We come into contact with the effects of operations research almost daily, for example, when planning the quickest route with a navigation device, exact goods delivery by a logistics service provider, or a plan for a vacation. Software, used for this and many other tasks, builds on the methods of operations research. Universities and companies collaborate in a number of ways to expand the use of these technologies.
In Aachen, over 500 presentations will be given, where scientists from 40 countries will present the results of basic research and their transferral to fields of application such as production, logistics, transport, engery, education, environment, and finance. Additionally, there is a Business Day, during which companies will present success stories from operations research.
