ERC Projects

Highest Scientific Honor in Europe

The European Research Council, ERC for short, promotes outstanding scientists in order to encourage excellent basic research and visionary projects as well as to discover new interdisciplinary fields of knowledge. The ERC Grants are considered the European benchmark for top research.

Below you will find an overview of the ERC grantholders and their projects at RWTH Aachen.

The ERC Starting Grant funding line lasts till 2012 and was announced in a call for scientists at the "Starting Level" – two to seven years after the PhD – and "Consolidator Level" – seven to twelve years after the PhD. The initial call for the ERS Consolidator Grants was made in 2013.
