Temporary Buildings Using Modular Construction Systems

On September 12, 2014, at the Temporary Construction Symposium, experts from architecture and temporary building will discuss projects and technical aspects of dismountable buildings.  

 

Gabriele Golubowitsch, the Head of Department 10.0 – Facilities Management at RWTH Aachen, will give an introductory presentation on the topic, explaining why temporary construction using modular components is gaining in importance, especially for universities.

Various temporary buildings at RWTH Aachen will be presented and their planning and building processes introduced. Marcus Gisbertz of the company Neptunus will talk about the challenges of setting up the TEMP lecture hall and explain the flexible and sustainable temporary building solutions for schools, sports facilities, and residential buildings.

The architecture practice Hahn Helten und Assoziierte provides insights into the planning and building processes of the temporary seminar building Semi Temp.
