CKI Conference 2014
The Siemens Center of Knowledge Interchange at RWTH Aachen is hosting the CKI Conference on December 11, 2014 at the Aachen Tivoli Stadium. The conference's emphasis is on "Electrification | Automation | Digitalization." The knowledge transfer between partners and the promotion of talent are at the focus of this year's CKI Conference. Aside from presentations by RWTH professors and Siemens experts, topical workshops and a career meeting point will be organized for participants. RWTH students and employees have the opportunity to participate in an idea workshop and demonstrate their creativity.
Conference Program
Professor Siegfried Russwurm will open the conference with a presentation on the Siemens' new orientation "Electrification | Automation | Digitalization." Along the lines of these strategic key topics, representatives from RWTH and Siemens will discuss the business challenges and university skills.
Stimuli from the morning discussions will be discussed further over the course of the conference in the topical workshops. Interested individuals can also get more information about entry-level job opportunities at the "Karriere bei Siemens" meeting point.
Idea Workshop
Within the framework of this year's CKI Conference, RWTH students and and employees have the opportunity to participate in an idea workshop and demonstrate their creativity and involvement.
The idea workshop begins the day before the conference (December 10, 2014), during which, concepts on one of the following key subjects will be drafted:
1. Energy
2. Healthcare
3. Infrastructure & Cities
4. Industry
Multiple teams will face each other in each key subject. Concrete problems for the idea workshop will be provided by Siemens on December 10, 2014. Those with ideas will develop their innovative concepts together with their team in a workshop and then present them during the CKI Conference to an audience made up of Siemens experts and RWTH professors and students. The winning teams, selected by a jury of experts, will each win 1,000 Euros. The top two teams will also be invited to come to Berlin to visit the Siemens office.
