German Research Foundation Traveling Exhibition at Aachen University
The RWTHextern Citizens' Forum is hosting the German Research Foundation's, DFG, traveling exhibition "Von der Idee zur Erkenntnis" from October 22 to November 14, 2014.
The exhibition presents outstanding research projects that are supported by the DFG with individual funding. Using examples they demonstrate the diversity of topics and approaches to solutions that scientists pursue in their work.
Each exhibit uses words, pictures, film, and animation to provide a glance at projects, such as" Darf ich bitten… RoboBee?“ or "Mit Gitarrensaiten Moleküle fangen?." Using three dimensional objects and models as well as some audio examples the project impressively demonstrates the barn owl's ability to locate sounds.
The exhibition is open Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm in the foyer of the Reiff Museum, Schinkelstraße 1. There are special opening hours offered during the RWTH-Wissenschaftsnacht on Friday, November 14, 2014, from 10am to midnight. Admission is always free of charge.
