Seoul National University Delegation Visits RWTH Aachen
RWTH Aachen hosted a delegation from the Korean Seoul National University.
There has been a long-standing collaboration in research and teaching between both universities. Two joint workshops stemming from this collaboration have already taken place in Aachen and Seoul. Recently, scientists came together at a third workshop, focusing on "Advances in the Science and Engineering of Functional Materials." The workshop was organized by Priv.-Doz. Dr.rer.nat. Michael Schroeder and Priv.-Doz. Dr. phil. Roger A. de Souza from the RWTH Chair of Physical Chemistry I.
During the visit, an exisiting cooperative agreement on funding student and reseacher exchange was extended for another five years. A memorandum of understanding was signed by Professor Ki-Bum Kim, Head of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Seoul National University (center) and RWTH Vice-Rector Doris Klee in the presence of Professor Manfred Martin (right).
