RWTH Aachen Advising Days
"Do you already know what you want to study?" This is the motto for RWTH Aachen's advising days from January 27 to 29, 2015, for interested school students and other prospective students. The event will take place in Kármán Auditorium.
A comprehensive program is being offered to provide assistance with orienting oneself professionally. Staff and students from the University's departments and central institutions will provide information about the courses of study offered and framework conditions of studies at RWTH Aachen. Each of the three days has a different focus:
- January 27: Engineering Sciences
- January 28: Natural Sciences, Computer Science, Mathematics, Geosciences, and Medicine
- January 29: Humanities, Social Sciences, Business, and Economics
In the morning visitors can attend any of the numerous talks and presentations to get information about the courses of study and other relevant topics. Additionally, there will be departmental advisors and students from the student representative councils at advising stands, with whom attendees can speak. The comprehensive afternoon programs includes sample lectures, technical presentations, and tours of the institutes around campus.
The event is free and registration is not required. School students can receive a certificate of participation to submit to their school to excuse their absence each day starting at 12 noon.
