Lecture Series: Structural Engineering in Practice
The annual lecture series with talks and presentations by construction experts from academia and industry kicks off on Tuesday, April 14.
This year's lectures are concerned with current planning, construction, maintenance and repair activities for buildings and structures. The topic of the kick-off lecture by Dr. Martin Hamme from the NRW Road Construction Department will be the significant damage of the Leverkusen Rhine bridge.
The lecture series, which was established in 1980, is organized by the Chair of Structural Concrete, the Chair of Steel and Light-Weight Structures, and the Chair of Structural Analysis and Dynamics.
The lectures take place Tuesdays, 6-7:15pm, in Lecture Hall BS I of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Mies-van-der-Rohe-Straße 1. Please note that the lectures are given in German. All interested individuals from the University and public are invoted to attend the lectures held during the 2015 summer semester.
