Rosetta Space Probe
As a part of the "Space Probe" event series, Dr. Koen Geurts from the DLR, German Aerospace Center, will hold the third lecture on the "Rosetta Space Probe and Philae Comet Lander." The event will take place on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at 7pm, in Hörsaal Fo4, Kármán Auditorium, Eilfschornsteinstraße 15.
The Rosetta mission of the European Space Agency, ESA, aims to investigate the historical origin of our solar system by exploring one of the oldest and original celestial bodies, a comet. The mission consists of an orbiter and the Philae lander.
The DLR had significant interest in the construction of the lander and operates the lander control center, which prepared and supervised the difficult and unprecedented landing on the comet on November 12, 2014, at 5:03pm CET.
Admission to the event is free of charge and registration is not required.
