Award for PRiME
RWTH Project, PRiME, has been awarded the stamp of excellence by the Deutscher Bildungspreis in the innovation category.
The Deutscher Bildungspreis, which is under the patronage of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research is awarded in five categories. Companies, organizations, or authorities, who support their employees through education and talent management, are eligible to apply. There were 70 competitors in the innovation category. The RWTH project was selected along with two other top projects to come to Berlin.
Improving Learning in the Workplace
PRiME has been under development since 2013 at the Computer Science 9 Teaching and Research Area, Learning Technologies, under the direction of Professor Dr.-Ing. Ulrik Schroeder, and in collaboration with Deutsche Bahn AG. The goal is to create a mobile, individually accessible and shapeable information and continued education service for employees in operative use, for example service technicians. The system and applications for mobile terminals should improved self-directed learning in the workplace. Knowledge will be documented and provided through videos, pictures, and texts. This ensures that employees gain experience.
