Technology on Tour – Top-Level Research at WSA

24/06/2015

The Institute of Heat and Mass Transfer, WSA for short, conducts fundamental research in the field of thermal transport processes and solid combustion.

RWTHextern offers a guided tour of the institute facilities, giving participants the chance to get insights into modern laser-based measurement techniques. Such techniques are used for measuring injection processes in combustion engines, for example.

One of the tour highlights is a visit of the facility for the investigation of coal dust combustion processes in the former RWTH heating plant.

The guided tour is scheduled to start Monday, June 29, at 4pm. Participants meet at the WSA, in front of the entrance to the hall, Augustinerbach 6.

The guided tour is free of charge; the number of participants is limited to 25. Please register for the tour at or by phone at +49 80 93681.
