Managing Stress During Your Studies

24/06/2015

Lectures, seminars, lab practicals, group work, presentations, exams – university studies can be diverse and challenging. The demands and strains of university studies can also create tension that can lead to various disorders, such as with concentration, mood, or performance. Smart stress management is necessary in order to maintain one's own energy and endurance.

Get smart, exchange experiences – the RWTH Student Advice Centre is hold a presentation and workshop on this topic on Friday, June 26, 2015, from 5 to 6:30pm in Hörsaal Fo3, Kárman Auditorium in Aachen. The speaker is Dipl.-Psychologe van Tien Tran from the Student Advice Centre. In the workshop students will learn how to prevent possible overloads caused by stress. They will try out exercises, in which a balance is found between the demands of studies and one's own resources. Ideas will also be provided about how to anchor relaxation in everyday life.

The event is part of the project "Guter Studienstart im Ingenieurbereich“ but is also open to students not in engineering. Participation is free of charge. Registration is not required.
