RWTH to Host German Rectors' Conference

RWTH Aachen will host the German Rectors‘ Conference (HRK), which is scheduled to take place between July 6 and 7, 2015.

 

The conference has various aims, including defining competence-oriented learning outcomes, designing adequate examination formats, and optimizing the recognition of examination results and grades earned at other universities.

Furthermore, the conference will discuss in how far credits can be awarded based on previous professional experience and competences.

The conference will take place between July 6 and 7 at the SuperC building, Templergraben 57. The RWTH Vice-Rector for Teaching, Professor Aloys Krieg, will give the welcome address; Dr. Gerald Braun from the Medical Clinic II of University Hospital Aachen will give a talk on “Constructive Alignment in Medical Studies” as part of the workshop “Medicine and the Health Sciences.”

Raphael Kiesel, chairman of the AStA at RWTH Aachen, will address the topic from an engineering sciences viewpoint.
