First-Year Student Information Day at RWTH Aachen on October 1, 2015
"What do I want to be? What career, training, study fields even exist?" 14 to 16 year old pupils asking themselves these or similar questions are invited to attend a career orientation day on Thursday, October 1, 2015, from 9am to 3pm in Kármán Auditorium.
At the First-Year Information Day pupils will have the possibility to acquire a practical look at various career fields and detailed information. During the presentation they will learn about different careers and courses of education at a university. Instructors and students will be available at numerous information booths to personally speak with attendees. They can experience research hands on in the exhibitions as well as tour the institutes on site. Practically-oriented offers such as workshops or speed dating with students invite participants to active gather experiences.
No Degree Without a Connection
The "First-Year Student Information Day" is officially recognized as an alternatuve event for career orientation as part of the state initiative "Kein Abschluss ohne Anschluss – Übergang Schule-Beruf in NRW.“ The event is RWTH Aachen's central event in this field and covers the entire demand for career orientation at the University.
School classes or the entire grade 8 class can participate as well. Registration is not required. Pupils will receive a confirmation of participation.
