Enjoying Life Without Nicotine
RWTH and University Hospital Aachen offer group training sessions for employees who want to quit smoking.
Those who want to quit smoking and stay smoke-free in the long term need mental strength and a supportive living and work environment. RWTH employees have the opportunity to receive support through the Smoke-Free Program developed by the IFT Institute for Therapy Research, Munich, in collaboration with the Federal Centre for Health Education (BZgA).
The program is based on scientific insights and provides treatment methods for smoking cessation. In the first part of the course, participants prepare themselves for stopping smoking. The second part focuses on how to stay smoke-free and supports participants in their efforts.
The course is six to seven weeks in length and group size is limited to 12 participants. There will be seven 90-minute group meetings and two phone sessions for participant support.
The next course starts January 26, 2016. For further information, please contact Ms. Eva Senner.
