JARA Lectures Series Starts Friday, October 30
On Friday, October 30, 2015, as part of the lecture series "JARA - die Jülich Aachen Research Alliance," representatives from the JARA HPC section will give a lecture on interdisciplinary strategies to solve problems in computational fluid dynamics. The HPC section conducts research in the field of computer simulation using supercomputers.
How does fine dust affect the flow in the human airways? How can chevron optimisation help reduce jet noise?
These are just some of the questions that Dr. Andreas Lintermann from the RWTH Institute of Aerodynamics and Jens Henrik Göbbert from the RWTH Virtual Reality Groups seek to answer. The researchers explain how high-resolution simulations using supercomputers make it possible to analyze complex flow phenomena in biological and technological applications.
The lecture is scheduled to take place at 6:30pm in the Ford Hall, SuperC Building, Templergraben 57.
Entrance is free of charge; registration is not required. Please note that the lecture will be given in German.
