Found: Friends for Life
The RWTH School of Business and Economics bids its new graduates farewell.
"What I can say after all the ups and downs, and lows and highs, pride and doubt, is that university studies have been one of the best times of our lives so far," said Janina Knepper, a graduate of RWTH's Master's in business administration and representative of the new graduating class of the School of Business and Economics, positively summarizing their experience. She also spoke about how university studies are not just about learning: "Aside from the entire education, we have learned and gained so much more. We have found friends for life, with whom we have experienced all the highs and lows of the past years."
During his welcome address dean and professor Dr. Thomas Kittsteiner spoke on behalf of the School, congratulating the graduates on their successful studies and handing out their certificates together with the dean of studies, Dr. Kai Reimers.
The professors, parents, and friends filled the Aula of the RWTH Main Building to celebrate their pupils. A total of 328 students successfully completed a post-doctoral qualification, doctoral studies, Bachelor's, and Master's in business administration, and the Master's in economics this past academic year. The best graduates - Katharina Höhn B.Sc, Katja Rebecca Tilkes B.Sc., Can Aksel Ömer Yilanci B.Sc. and Master's graduates Najat Rahali and Christoph Alexander Schorn – were additionally honored by the School of Business and Economics funding association for their extraordinary exam performance.
Not only the best graduates were honored for their performance. For the third year in a row, the student representative council awarded the Teaching Prize in two categories, for employees and professors. This year's recipients were Prof. Dr. Daniel Wentzel, Chair of Marketing, and Julia Bogacki, Chair of Controlling.
