Financial support to cover material costs for prototypes
The Hans Hermann Voss Foundation has committed to provide funding for the implementation of concepts developed by RWTH Master's students in their final theses. Eligible to receive support are students who are conducting research in one of the University's profile areas and who are seeking to develop solutions to applied problems. The Foundation will provide 159,000 euros in funding to cover, in particular, the material costs for prototypes.
RWTH has established eight profile areas to achieve effective cross-subject, interfaculty collaboration in interdisciplinary networks. The aim is to contribute to solving the major societal and technological challenges of our time, such as climate change, mobility, or the fight against diseases around the world.
Now 19 students were selected to receive financial support for their research activities in the three RWTH profile areas: Medical Science & Technology, Production Engineering, and Mobility & Transport Engineering.
The students will present their research results at a symposium scheduled to be held in May 2021, hosted in collaboration with the Hans Hermann Voss Foundation.
