Our Profile

The team of the Chair and Institute of Structural Concrete (IMB) investigates fundamental phenomena in reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, non-metallic reinforced concrete, and composite construction in cooperation with industrial and scientific partners. Through theoretical, numerical and experimental research, we contribute to a more innovative and sustainable way of construction in the future. Together with our partners, we develop solutions from the initial idea to industrial application. In the bachelor and master program of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, the chair has a leading role in undergraduate education as well as in the advanced postgraduate programs.

The IMB offers a broad spectrum for professional and personal additional qualification in a highly motivated team of 46 full-time employees, 23 of which are research assistants.
