The Institute for Fluid Power Drives and Systems (ifas) at RWTH Aachen University is one of the largest institutes of its kind in the world and is involved in research and teaching in all areas of fluid power. Today, in addition to mechanical engineering, it also includes disciplines such as thermodynamics, computer science, control engineering, electrical engineering, tribology and chemistry.

Your Profile

  • Sound technical knowledge and IT affinity
  • Programming experience - ideally in Python or PLC programming
  • Basic knowledge of fluid power technology desirable
  • Self-motivated and reliable way of working

Your Duties and Responsibilities

You will assist in current research projects in the field of digitalization of fluid power systems.
This includes tasks such as:

  • Carrying out measurements
  • Data analysis
  • Code optimization
  • Subject-related research
  • Preparation of documents and presentations

What We Offer

The successful candidate will be employed as a student assistant.
The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and offered for a fixed term
This is a part-time contract position.
The standard weekly hours will be 8-13 hours.
The salary is based on the RWTH Guidelines for Student and Graduate Assistants.
