Lehrstuhl für Anorganische Chemie und Elektrochemie und Institut für Anorganische Chemie

Our Profile

The research interests of the Chair of Inorganic Chemistry and Electrochemistry at the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry cover the preparation and characterization of electrofunctional and biofunctional inorganic nanostructures and their applications in energy, catalysis biomedical research.

The present job posting is related to our research within the framework of the Collaborative Research Centre “Functional Microgels and Microgel Systems”, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Within this consortium we collaborate with research groups from polymer science, chemical engineering and medicine on the development of novel, highly functional, and responsive microgel systems. The focus of our research group is on DNA-functionalized microgel structures. Highly sophisticated microscopic methods allow us to study the mechanism of uptake and release of guest compounds, e.g. contrast agents or drugs, on these superstructures. Furthermore, we focus at the formation of DNA microgel superstructures involving hybridization of DNA is a key element.

We offer you herewith a post-doc position, embedded in an international and interdisciplinary team, with extraordinary possibilities for your personal further qualification including access to advanced characterization techniques.

We are looking forward to your application.
