Nominations of both university and school projects can be submitted until November 30.

Every year, RWTH awards the Brigitte Gilles Prize, which bears the name of the University's first women's affairs officer. It is awarded to individuals, initiatives and projects that contribute to awakening and supporting girls' and women's interest in the natural sciences and technology or to improving the conditions for women in the areas of teaching, learning, and research.

The call for nominations is made both internally at University and externally at schools. Also honored are outstanding theses from all faculties that focus on a topic clearly connected to gender equality. The first two categories are endowed with 2,500 euros each, while the final thesis category is endowed with 500 euros.

The nominated projects should not be more than two years old and should be connected to RWTH Aachen University. The projects and measures may be in the development stage, but the implementation must be ensured. The prize can be awarded to individuals or groups of individuals.

Please submit your written nomination to by November 30, 2020.
