ATEC X: 10th Aachen Technology and Entrepreneurship Conference

28/10/2020

The Aachen Technology and Entrepreneurship Conference (ATEC) celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. RWTH Innovation's Entrepreneurship Center, digitalHUB Aachen e.V., and Collective Incubator e.V. are pleased to be jointly hosting a virtual conference from October 29 to 30, 2020.

Guided by the conference motto “Exploring tomorrow. Today.” participants will have an opportunity to run their ideas by successful founders and experienced entrepreneurs and network with financially strong investors in virtual speed dating sessions. Over 2,000 individuals from more than 20 countries have already registered to attend. At ATEC X, more than 100 startups are set to meet around 30 of Europe’s top investors.

This year’s speakers will provide insights into their personal experiences while also highlighting any relevant political, economic, and social context. Among the speakers, for example, are NRW Minister of Economic Affairs Professor Andreas Pinkwart, three-time Ironman World Champion Jan Frodeno, N26 founder Max Tayenthal, and Frank Thelen, who has become an integral part of the entrepreneurship scene as founder, investor, TV personality, and author. Furthermore, startup teams will have the opportunity to compete with other groups in the Startup Pitch Battle and the TechForFuture Challenge.

ATEC X is supported by the “Exzellenz Start-up Center.NRW” initiative of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalization and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. Thanks to this initiative, RWTH and five other universities are in a position to strengthen the startup culture in NRW on a long-term basis.
