The participants of the RWTH and FH Aachen joint project "A Good Academic Start in Engineering" or GSS, received their certificates of participation at the SuperC.

Many of the young students from this year's "Semester 0" have made their decision and are taking up engineering studies at one of the two Aachen universities. Others were able to exclude this discipline from their considerations. But they all have one thing in common: they have good memories of GSS and would participate again if they were in the same situation. "We want to close the gap between school and university, especially in math, with this project," said professor Josef Rosenkranz, vice-rector of academics and teaching at FH Aachen, during the closing ceremony in the SuperC.

Professor Rudolf Leonhard Stens from RWTH's Department of Mathematics surveyed the young adults about their experiences during the orientation semester and praised the tutors dedication and involvement. The event also included a quiz about RWTH and FH Aachen, the city, and its surroundings. Afterwards the participants received their certificates of completion.
