New Student Numbers Again at a High Level

About 9,400 new students are expected to take up studies at RWTH Aachen University in the upcoming winter semester.

Thus, enrollment at RWTH Aachen will hit a record high of more than 44,000 students in October 2016. Female students make up 32 percent of the student body, while18 percent of students are international students, including exchange students.

As the Vice-Rector for Teaching, Professor Aloys Krieg, explains, “RWTH continues to be highly attractive to students. But after the double cohort of school leavers in 2013, the number of new enrollments are slowly returning to normal levels.”
