Music LAB Concert Series at RWTH Aachen

26/10/2016

On November 3, 2016, the Aachen Symphony Orchestra will play in the machine hall of the RWTH Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering, WZL.

For several years now, RWTH Aachen has been closely collaborating with the Aachen Symphony Orchestra. The Year of Science 2016 is an opportunity to further this collaboration with a new event series.

The result is "Music LAB," a concert series in which the symphony orchestra, conducted by Kazem Abdullah, will perform in the machine hall of various institutes. Music and science will be uniquely combined, while offering the public the chance to get a look at the internationally renowned research institutes.

Not only will the university institutes present their facilities as unique sound spaces, they also have the chance to introduce their work to an interested audience. In this way orchestra and university meet on an eye level while creating together a series of exciting and unique nights of music.

On Thursday, November 3, the series will be continued with a concert titled "Stereophonic Sounds," with works by Gabrieli, Eggert, Ives, and Tchaikovsky.

Admission is 7.50 Euros for students, general admission is 30 Euros. Tickets are available from the Aachen Theatre box office.
