University Degree – And Then What?

At the "Futures Day," RWTH Aachen and companies join forces to prepare female students for the job market.

 

What’s your priority – family, career, or limited working hours? And when is the right time to decide on career directions? At the 2016 Futures Day at RWTH Aachen University, female students have the chance to get information on and discuss topics suc as these.

The Futures Day seeks to assists young women with planning their future lives, facilitate making contacts with businesses, and provide information on funding and support opportunities. Representatives from Bosch, Boston Consulting Group, Phoenix Contact, Porsche, Saint Gobain, and other businesses will be present to deliver company presentations and offer information and advice.

Furthermore, RWTH Aachen will introduce career options at the University and present its continuing education offerings. The day will be concluded with a panel discussion and an informal get-together with snacks and drinks.

The Futures Day for female students will take place Wednesday, November 9, from 2 to 8pm in the SuperC, Templergraben 57, 6th floor. The event is jointly hosted by the Equal Opportunities Office, the RWTH Career Center, and the Gender Working Group (de) of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
