Using authentic examples from peer-reviewed scientific publications, Scientific Writing for Postdoctoral Researchers is designed to equip participants with strategies in line with the expectations of readers, reviewers, and editors alike. More specifically, this two-day workshop focuses on practical writing techniques that will help you to (1) write clearly and concisely, (2) avoid common errors (3) link ideas effectively, (4) structure well-focused paragraphs, (5) craft effective titles and abstracts, (6) formulate to-the-point research questions, and (7) highlight the novelty and significance of your work. Feedback on submitted drafts will be provided in individual writing consultations. This workshop is offered in either a classroom setting or a blended-learning digital format. Please note that the digital format involves self-paced learning.

Further Information on Target Audience

The course is mainly intended for postdoctoral researchers who have already published and are interested in improving their academic English writing skills. Please note that the workshop will be taught entirely in English.
