Description

An important speech is coming up and you want you want to present your research topic in a proficient way. Learn how you can convince your audience with ease either as a freely held speech or moreillustrative with presentation slides. You will also learn how to act with confidence in the discussion.

In this practical seminar you can test your performance by presenting a prepared 5-10 minute science speech. You will receive qualified and detailed feedback.

We will address the following aspects:

  • Learn and apply the principles of successful presentations

  • Audience attention from beginning to end: How to organize your speech.

  • Science specifics: Focus, interdisciplinary communication and high quality.

  • Use Power to get to the Point with presentation software and research props.

  • Learn from the best: Success strategies and best practice examples.

This seminar will provide practice-related suggestions to ensure that your presentations are successful on stage. Based on video analyses you will receive qualified feedback for your presentations.

Bring a 10-15 minutes presentation of your choice and a 3 minutes summary. You can deliver either speech without material, by PowerPoint, on flipchart or as poster.
