A New Awareness of Ecological Balance

Professor André Bardow, Director of the Institute of Thermodynamics and Chair of Technical Dynamics at RWTH Aachen University, has received the 2016 Covestro Science Award. Through the award, Covestro seeks to support outstanding reseachers under the age of 45 in the area of materials research.

 

One of André Bardow’s key research areas is the assessment of the environmental impact of products throughout their entire life cycle. According to Covestro CEO Patrick Thomas, through his pioneering work, André Bardow has redefined the state of the art in the field of life cycle assessment, particularly of CO2-based polymers.
