A Good Academic Start in Engineering
On Wednesday, November 30, 2016, there will be an information event on the joint project “A Good Academic Start in Engineering” between FH Aachen and RWTH Aachen. The initiative makes it possible for prospective students and those who want to transfer to another course of study to enroll at both higher education institutions and participate in classes. The info event takes place between 7:30 and 9pm in Seminar Room I of the Student Advice Center, Templergraben 83.
In the summer term of 2017, students again can enroll at both universities for their "semester zero." After having gained first impressions, students can then choose what university and what course of study to enroll in in the upcoming winter term. Thus participants have the opportunity to find out for themselves which university and what subject best suits them.
Importantly, this orientation semester does not count as a regular semester of study. However, examinations passed are recognized if the participant decides to enroll for the corresponding course of study in the upcoming winter semester.
Furthermore, the project includes a comprehensive framework program in math and other subjects, as well as a student mentoring program providing support in organizational matters.
200 spots are available in the progam – interested students can register now! Further information is available at the A Good Academic Start in Engineering web page.
