The online Welcome Week takes place from April 7 to April 10, 2021 and starts with an official kick-off event. Students will receive important information about studying and living in Aachen and participate in a short intercultural training to prepare them for life in Gremany. During the online Welcome Week, there will be different virtual information events and advising sessions, which are specifically designed to meet the needs and interests of our international students.
Organizational, subject-related, and residence law issues are explained in detail by the respective advisors. Thanks to the online sessions, students can get to know RWTH's central advisory offices, extracurricular activities, and the many international student associations from the comfort of their home.
Furthermore, guided tours of the central campus area, conducted in compliance with the COVID-19 health and safety measures, help the newly arrived students get oriented in Aachen. Further online offerings include a virtual library tour, a Campus Tour audioguide, intercultural workshops, and a variety of recreational events hosted by the student associations.
RWTH students who support the International Office during the Welcome Week can get their activities recognized as part of the Certificate International program.
