Evenings of Discussion in the Run-up to the Charlemagne Prize Award Ceremony

RWTH professors will be participating in a series of panel discussions to talk with experts on the topics, values and questions put forward by Timothy Garton Ash.

 

On May 18, 2017, at 4pm, Professor Sabina Jeschke, Director of the IMA/ZLW & IfU Institute Cluster at RWTH Aachen, and Professor Ayad Al-Ani, from the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society, Berlin, will discuss topics such as Work, Education, and Politics in this day and age, in which the digitalization of the world is   progressing ever more.They will also touch on artificial intelligence and the chances and challenges it offers society. The event titled “Quo vadis Künstliche Intelligenz – Chancen und Herausforderungen für die Gesellschaft” is free of charge and takes place at Hörsaal H04, at the lecture hall complex C.A.R.L., Claßenstraße 11. Moderator will be Professor Stefan Kowalewski, Chair of the RWTH Aachen Senate and Chair of Computer Science 11 Embedded Software at RWTH Aachen.

Professor Helmut König from the Institute of Political Science at RWTH Aachen will talk with Adam Krzemiński, journalist and publicist.
