An App Made in Aachen: Jodel
Anonymously posting a text or picture within an about 10km radius – that's possible with the Jodel app. App creator and RWTH graduate Alessio Avellan Borgmeyer will talk about the app together with Niklas Henckell and Alexander Linewitsch. They will present the new form of communication and their experiences during a panel discussion, which will take place on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, from 4 to 6pm, in Hörsaal H03, C.A.R.L., Claßenstraße 11. Live-Jodel will be on.
The app was founded in 2014 and has been continuously successful since then. The limited lifespan and the option to vote on a post make the app particularly lively, very interactive, and indescribably entertaining.
The 26-year-old Borgmeyer studied industrial engineering from 2010 to 2013 at RWTH Aachen and now lives in Berlin. Niklas Henckell and Alexander Linewitsch joined the start-up shortly after it was founded.
The panel discussion has been organized by the RWTH Department of Computer Science, RIA, REGINA e.V., RWTH AStA, and RWTHextern. Admission is free of charge and registration is not required.
