RWTH Ranked Among the World's Best Universities

In the 2018 QS World University Rankings, one of the most important global university rankings, RWTH is ranked 141th worldwide and is thus among the top 15 percent of universities rated by QS.

 

The QS World University Rankings are compiled by assessing more than 950 universities on six different indicators, including academic reputation, reputation among employers, number of citations per faculty, and international student ratio.

Among German universities, RWTH Aachen University was ranked seventh.

In the “employer reputation” category, RWTH climbed seven spots compared to last year and is now placed 27th worldwide, a strong result which confirms that the University’s graduates have a very good reputation among employers and HR managers.

Concerning the number of students from abroad, RWTH is distinctly above the national and international averages – 19.2 percent of the University’s student body are international students. By comparison, the international average is 10.3 percent. Nationally, RWTH is ranked fourth in the "international students“ category.
