“Aachener Fachsymposium Straßenwesen” Will Be Held as a Virtual Event on June 17, 2021
The Institute of Road Engineering at RWTH Aachen University and the research association SETAC e.V. invite you to their virtual conference, the Aachener Fachsymposium Straßenwesen. This will be a virtual event, held on Thursday, June 17, 2021, focusing on the topic of smart infrastructure.
Road infrastructure is highly significant when it comes to future-oriented mobility. This applies to fully automated or autonomous driving in complex environments as well as to electrically powered traffic. For example, autonomous driving requires high-quality road equipment, continuous coverage with mobile phone networks, up-to-date traffic situation information, digital traffic information, or modern communication systems between the vehicle and the infrastructure. Electrically powered traffic benefits from intelligent load management or other approaches that favor dynamic inductive charging.
The symposium will discuss problems of road infrastructure. Representatives from the economy, administration, and research sectors are invited to join.
