RWTH’s Wildenhof event venue in the Eifel is a great place to relax, play, and meet for a conference in a beautiful location.

Whether you want to relax or host a conference: The Wildhenhof event center at the nearby Rur Lake offers members of RWTH to meet, play, and enjoy the great outdoors. The University Sports Center uses the facilities for its watersports courses, including sailing, rowing, canoeing, canoe polo, standup paddle boarding, and surfing.

When the weather is good, more than a hundred visitors come to the facility, who sunbathe or play a round of beach volleyball or boules. Furthermore a pétanque area and ping pong table are available. Others come to rent out sports equipment or enjoy hiking and biking activities.

The facility managers take care of all the guests' concerns and keep the facility running.

Overnight Possibilities

University departments and institutions have the possibility to hold seminars, workshops, or excursions here from Tuesday to Thursday. Those who want to stay overnight in the Eifel can do so in their own tent or in one of Wildenhof's 40 beds. Overnight stays in the house must be booked through the University Sports Center. The fees for the camping sites are paid on site. Guests can use the self-service kitchen.

Quiet Hours Starting 11pm

The caretaker team are careful to ensure that the gates are closed exactly at 10pm and that quiet hours are enforced starting at 11pm. Wildenhof is not suitable for excessive parties, even if the name indicates otherwise.

The Wildenhof event venue is open every year from April 1 to October 31. It is closed Mondays. All day guests should sign in with the caretaker team and have their university or student ID ready to show.
