1:1 Presentation Skills Training (Registration for Doctoral Candidates)

Description

Perhaps you need some help with a forthcoming conference presentation or your PhD defense and would like to overcome your fear of speaking in public in a foreign language. The Language Center offers you the opportunity to rehearse your presentation with an English trainer, receive detailed feedback on your presentation skills, and improve your delivery style and content.

Personalized training sessions are designed to equip presenters with an extensive set of skills to develop their own unique style of delivery. Additionally, we provide materials tailored to your needs.

Our offer consists of the following:

• needs analysis (via Zoom)

• online presentation and feedback session (via Zoom)

• presentation with Q & A (in person)

• final feedback session (via Zoom or in person)

You will receive detailed feedback on your

• delivery (voice, pace, pronunciation, fluency, ...)

• body language (mimics, gestures, eye contact, ...)

• slides (grammar, usage, style, ...)

• 'storyline' (coherence, flow, impact, ...)
