The Ethics of Automated Driving

08/11/2017

The RWTH Aachen Institute of Industrial Engineering and Ergonomics invites the public to the 4th Aachen DenkfabrEthik.

The topic of automated driving is polarizing. Is it a win for safety or an additional danger? Does it enrich the quality of life or is it an ethical problem? What is the current legal situation and who particularly profits from automated driving? Under the patronage of Aachen Lord Mayor Marcel Philipp, the 4th Aachen DenkfabrEthik at RWTH Aachen will address these questions and more on Monday, November 13, 2017, from 6 to 9pm at the SuperC, Templergraben 57. The public is invited to attend. During the event the ethical and social questions surrounding automated driving will be discussed and different aspects will be highlighted in brief presentations. An exhibit in the SuperC will open in advance at 5pm, which provides information about current mobility concepts.
