Title

Center of Excellence in Combustion

Concept

The decarbonisation goals of the European Union in the energy and transportation sectors demand fundamental changes in the design and operation of current and future combustion systems. The EU-funded CoEC project will take advantage of Exascale computing technologies to promote and develop advanced simulation software that can assist in this transition. The project will apply advanced methodologies enabled by Exascale computing to promote a series of scientific and technological activities that will extend the state-of-the-art in combustion simulation capabilities. The results will form the basis of a portfolio supporting academic and industrial activities in the realm of power and transport, increasing the EU’s competitiveness and leadership in technologies for climate change mitigation.
