Title
Research on AI- and Simulation-Based Engineering at Exascale
Concept
Advanced computing hardware and software have enabled access to highly complex and large data sets, from the human genome to particle accelerator spectra, extracting meaning and making predictions. Analysing and processing big data will be integral to our ability to meet challenges related to climate change, global energy supply, future pandemics and metamaterials design. The EU-funded Centre of Excellence for Research on AI- and Simulation-Based Engineering at Exascale (RAISE), targeting a billion billion operations per second, will make it possible to address such challenges. The team will work on the plan for user communities and services to ensure Europe takes a leading role in solving the world's most complicated problems.
