"Tour de Science" Starts a New Round
To mark its anniversary last year, RWTH Aachen University offered the first "Tour de Science” – an exploration of the different campuses on bicycle. Due to the enormously positive response received, the offer will be continued beyond the anniversary to supplement the established campus tour program of the RWTHextern Citizens’ Forum.
This gives interested visitors the opportunity to experience the history, impact, and dimensions of RWTH from a completely different perspective. The eight-kilometer tour was designed in cooperation with the City of Aachen as a recommended route for the Aachener Fahrradsommer 2020 initiative and goes from Uniklinik RWTH Aachen to the city center past various institutes of the university such as the ICT Cubes, behind whose façade lies an interesting secret. Guides will present exciting buildings and talk about the cutting-edge research being carried out there at special stops. The popular bike tour will continue this year on July 24, August 8, August 21, September 5, and September 18.
The tour starts at 11 am at Uniklinik RWTH Aachen and ends in the city center. A maximum of eight people can participate per tour. Registrations are now possible at firstname.lastname@example.org. Participation is free of charge.
