The Welcome Weeks will take place from September 7, 2021 to October 1, 2021 and will begin with an official virtual kick-off event. Students will receive important information about studying and living in Aachen and a short intercultural training to familiarize them with the German culture. In the first three weeks, the events offered online and split into thematic blocks are tailored to the needs and interests of international students with amongst others online information sessions, fairs, workshops and much more. Processes related to organizational, academic topics or residence law are explained in detail by the respective experts. Thanks to the diverse online sessions, students can get to know the RWTH's central services, its extracurricular activities and its many student associations while still being abroad and ask their questions.

In addition, the on-site program planned according to the applying Corona regulations will hopefully take place with various events such as campus and library tours, a barbecue with the faculty student council, the very popular Sports Day and Global Village, and help students already in Aachen to get to know each other and network.

RWTH students who support the International Office during the Welcome Weeks (the so-called Welcome Week Volunteers) may have their involvement recognized under the Certificate International program. In addition, the Info Service Center offers webinars on important topics in cooperation with the respective experts regularly during the semester. For Latecomers, a detailed offer of events with the faculty student councils and student associations will be published and updated regularly.
