RWTH Offers Schüleruni Courses Again for School Students on Summer Break
During their summer vacation, NRW school students are again invited to get to know RWTH Aachen University by attending Schüleruni courses. Registration is open now.
This free offer allows students to attend special workshops, lectures or experiments, which lets them discover what university studies are like or helps them decide which degree program to choose in the future.
For students in grades 7 to 9, the university offers the MINT-Schüleruni twice a year. MINT – the German acronym for the English STEM subjects – stands for Mathematics, Computer Science, Natural Science and Technology or Engineering. Within this format, the participants can get to know a different RWTH student lab every day.
Upper level students are able to choose one out of eleven different Schülerunis – or school student courses. On offer are Architecture, Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, MINT Teacher Training, or Sustainable Supply – from raw material to engineering material. The taster course in Engineering Sciences specially for girls, the "Schnupperuni Ingenieurwissenschaften für Mädchen," completes the range of offers.
Registration is now open until June 15. Once all places in a given Schüleruni are filled, names will be added to a waiting list.
