Interstellar (OmU)

At the end of the event series "Through the Galaxy with RWTH", the RWTH Film Studio is showing one of the great science fiction films: "Interstellar" in English with German subtitles. Mankind is on the verge of perishing from a global food shortage. The only hope for the world's population is a secret U.S. government project led by scientist Professor Brand (Michael Caine). The plan is to launch an expedition to another star system where habitable planets, raw materials and, above all, life are suspected to exist. Engineer and former NASA pilot Cooper (Matthew McConaughey) and Brand's daughter Amelia (Anne Hathaway) lead the crew on a journey into the unknown.
