2018 DAAD Award for International Students at RWTH Aachen
The DAAD Prize awards academically excellent international students and doctoral candidates for their social and intercultural engagement.
RWTH Aachen University faculties, university organizations, RWTH student associations and the student union AStA can nominate suitable candidates. The award amounts to 1,000 euros.
The award is can only be given to those international candiates who are regularly enrolled at German university and whose primary residence is Germany. They must be in at least the second year of their Bachelor's studies or the second semester of Master's studies, have good academic performance, and be involved in social and intercultural work.
Recent graduates who completed their studies in the past three months and doctoral candidates can also be nominated. International students are individuals who acquired their university entrance qualification abroad or supplemented their school qualifications with a German preparatory college. Visiting and exchange students and students who have already received the DAAD Award cannot be considered.
Candidates for the award must be nominated by July 4, 2018. The nominations are to be sent via email to the International Office, Dominika Dudzik, including a curriculum vitae and a description of the academic (current academic record) and social / intercultural extracurricular achievements.
A selection committee will review the nominations and determine the winner. The prize will be awarded during Welcome Week in September 2018.
