RWTH Graduate Alexandra Rommerskirchen Receives Bertha Benz Prize

Dr. Alexandra Rommerskirchen has been honored with the 2021 Bertha Benz Prize.

 

The prize, worth 10,000 euros, is awarded by the Daimler and Benz Foundation. It honors early-career women engineers whose doctoral work has created value for society and who demonstrate pioneering spirit, courage, and visionary thinking.

Rommerskirchen received the award for her doctoral dissertation, entitled “Continuous Flow-Electrode Capacitive Deionization,” which she completed at the DWI - Leibniz Institute for Interactive Materials and at the Chair of Chemical Process Engineering at RWTH Aachen University.
